So I was in the mood to run a simple old game. One of the old Exile RPGs made by Spiderweb Software. I found there site, downloaded the game, but naturally I couldn't run it because they didn't have a version that worked on my 64bit system. But they had a page with solutions to this problem and they said, 'Just run it on compatibility mode.' According to the instructions I just had to open the game with that mode by opening through the start menu or some such nonsense. But I can't even install the game so I can't open it through the start menu.So how do I access this 32bit compatibility mode I'm hearing so much about and apply it to this install program or game? Similar help and support threadsThreadForumI have them disabled in both services.msc and gpedit.msc, but when I try to run certain programs it still comes up with this:do I fix this?

First note that 64 bit machines can (and quite often do) run 32 bit Office. In fact I believe it is the recommended practice to install 32 bit office. It is actually the default. With that said, you can edit a 32 bit version of an access db if your office installation is 32 bit. It does not matter if your windows installation is 64 bit. If you use API calls it gets slightly more complicated as some of these API calls will have to be fixed to use the 64 bit equivalents of the API.Hope that helps. This gave me nightmares, but its working fine now.
I luckily also have a spare 64bit windows OS system pc. I take the Access accdb file created on the 32 bit, and then 'compile' the accdb file on the Windows 64 bit pc with Access to Accde. It works great.
Also check in the Regional settings that the date/time shown as HHMMSS, is changed to lower casings hhmmss, as this seems to create a problem coming from 32bit or Access 2007 to Access 2010. This fixed my dates on the 64bit system in the application, when i 'compile' it.
This brief tutorial will show you how to run OS X applications in 32bit mode.Although OS X was 64-bit compatible in many ways prior to Snow Leopard, Snow Leopard made a big jump in 64-bit computing by re-writing most system applications, including the Finder, Mail, Safari, iCal, and iChat, in 64-bit code.
